Latam’s Aircraft Maintenance Center was developed using the Built to Suit system. At the CML, minor inspections and repairs are carried out on several aircraft that pass through Guarulhos airport daily.
Routinely, tests are performed on aircraft engines at the Maintenance Center. To ensure that the tests did not need to take place on the airport runway, did not negatively impact the surroundings and the community that exists close to the site, the Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) system was used. The installation of the acoustic and gas deflector barrier was imported from Europe and Latam is the only company in the country to use the technology.
Due to the peculiarity of the characteristics of the project’s facilities, Libercon won the GRI award for Best Industrial and Logistics Project in 2019.
